How to Clear your browser's History, cache and cookies - THE VICAMP GROUP

Many browser related problems can be fixed by clearing your cache and/or cookies, but it's important to know how each impact your browser before you delete them.

Getting started

In computing, the” web browsing history” refers to the list of web pages a user has visited recently—and associated data such as page title and time of visit—which is recorded by web browser software as standard for a certain period of time. Web browser software does this in order to provide the user with a Back button and/or a History list, to go back to pages they have visited previously, rather than relying on the user to remember where they have been on the web. Your web browser's "Cache" is a place where information is stored which helps webpages load faster. "Cookies" are small pieces of information stored on your computer which save web site customization.

Having a local copy of a web page makes for very quick loading on your next visit because your computer doesn't have to download from the Internet all of that same information again.

If browser caching makes pages load faster, why would you ever want to clear your cache? A few reasons come to mind.
  • Clear your cookies to fix - Sign-in problems (not being able to sign-in, not being able to stay signed-in) and error messages about setting user cookies.
    • Keep in mind - Clearing your cookies will delete all web site information stored in your browser (passwords, sign-in information, site-specific preferences, etc).
  • Clear your cache to fix - Pages that hang, freeze, don't finish loading, or contain old content and online applications (like games) that don't respond.
Regardless of why you might want to do it, clearing your cache really easy to do in all the popular browsers in use today.

In most browsers, you can clear the cache from History area in the (Tools) Settings or Options menu.

SCAM ALERT!!! - RESEARCH BY - THE VICAMP GROUP

SCAM ALERT!!!

The Internet has brought an exciting global marketplace directly to our fingertips, allowing us to shop and invest at our convenience. Yet when you provide personal information and check out your "shopping cart" at an online store, can you be certain your purchase will be safe? Can someone steal your credit card number during a transaction? Can you confirm that you are doing business with a reputable Web site and not with a shady imposter?
Cyber scam is the use of Internet services or software with Internet access to defraud victims or to otherwise take advantage of them, for example by stealing personal information, which can even lead to identity theft. A very common form of Internet fraud is the distribution of rogue security software. Internet services can be used to present fraudulent solicitations to prospective victims, to conduct fraudulent transactions, or to transmit the proceeds of fraud to financial institutions or to others connected with the scheme.
The rise of the internet has opened up the world to millions of people. It is now possible to do things that were unheard of only ten or even five years ago.
Unfortunately the internet is not free from scams and scammers. Some scams are especially designed to take advantage of the way the internet works.
A lot of internet scams take place without the victim even noticing. It is only when their credit card statement or phone bill arrives that the person realises that they might have been scammed.
There are, however, several ways to protect yourself from internet scams. They are simple but essential precautions you can take because you often cannot be sure exactly who you are dealing with on the internet.
How you access the internet can also make a difference. If you take the right precautions, the chances of being scammed are greatly reduced.

Follow These Precautions:
  • Do business with financial institutions and merchants you know and trust.
  • Be suspicious of Web sites that don't allow you to easily verify a company's identity and legitimacy by clearly providing a physical address, telephone number and email address.
  • Investigate persons and firms selling investment products. Contact the Banking Department to determine if they are licensed.
  • Never give out your account passwords - even to persons claiming to be from your bank or from your on-line service. If your passwords fall into the wrong hands, you may find your account billed with unexpected, expensive charges.
  • Carefully check your financial account statements each month for suspicious activity.
  • Keep your browser and computer up-to-date with the latest security software and new patches as they are released.
  • Be very skeptical of offers that sound too good to be true - such as extraordinarily high bank deposit rates, unusually low loan rates or spectacular investment returns that are touted as being "risk free."
  • Never make an investment simply on the basis of chat room hype or a tip from an on-line newsletter.
  • Be wary of international offers. Problems offshore can be harder to I                                    investigate and restitution more difficult to obtain.
  • Be cautious with short-term "free trials." They may simply be a ruse to obtain your credit card number and other personal information.
  • Be very skeptical of unsolicited "get-rich-quick" e-mail opportunities.
  • Never pay advance fees for an unsecured loan.
  • Before completing a purchase or financial transaction, be sure that the Web site you're visiting supports secure transactions. Your browser should clearly indicate when you link to a secure location. Look for a URL that begins with https:// and a browser icon displaying either an unbroken key or a closed padlock.
  • Avoid Web sites that do not allow you an opportunity to print or save a record confirming your transaction.
  • Don't send sensitive financial information, such as credit card numbers, via e-mail.
  • If you see something suspicious on the Internet or if you've been victimized by a fraud, immediately contact the Banking Department or another regulatory agency

exposing my personal details and confidentiality.
This is the first contract that is so detailed and revealing.
We may have to come to a consensus.

They advertise as wholesale and overstock depot. But we learned hard way (after paying for an order) that they did not ship anything. Their sales rep Chris Lehmann stopped responding to emails and phone calls. The website is still up and they advertise on Alibaba, so be aware that Mega Trading Ltd or My Outlets Center Inc. is SCAM. Names which are associated with this SCAM (probably not real) are Chris Lehmann, Omar Salem, and Mike Perez

That's right, the stopped answering the phone. They shipped my order but was incomplete and since then I've been trying to contact them. Chris Lehmann and a woman named Aliza were the ones who processed my order but now nobody answers e-mail or phones.
I am sure he it is scam. My Outlet Centre website closed in May 2010, Megatrading website opened in May 2010. Company address in Davenport is false. Before I have placed an order I have asked for proof of shipping. They have provided me with quite few tracking numbers from various shipping companies. Now I know how they got them -looks like they were shipping partial shipments to customers like you.

I bought new digital cameras valued at $8900 including postage to South Africa, after a long time they had promised to send me a Bill of Lading, Chris Lehman finally sent me one with the reference numbers and the company name that was supposedly transporting those items and when I checked with that courier company I discovered that there was no ref. no. like that and that the Bill of Lading was a fake. I contacted them to let them know only for them not to respond and to close their website MEGATRADINGSLTD.COM

These guys are scams for sure lost 11500 USD on them.
They seem to be able to keep on doing this they have many more websites.
KEEP CLEAR
Hi,

I am a businessman from Europe. I ordered some cosmetic products from www.thecloseoutsoutlet.com or www.closeoutsoutlet.com (same website with 2 different names?!) 2 weeks ago in value of around 1200 $ and I haven't received them yet and I don't think I will receive them ever. They are located in Jacksonville, Florida and the responsible international salesman is Andy Sullivan. He doesn't reply my emails and phone calls anymore. They are SCAMS!!! BEWARE OF THIS WEBSITE!!!
